Reasons & implications of the problem
INSIGHTS FROM USER RESEARCH
Progress in therapy depends on practice
at home, strongly relying on parents.
Under-involved or clueless parents
may hurt the child's progress
The process is emotionally difficult
and progress is often not linear.
Parents are frustrated and helpless with their inability to ease their child
Lack of a platform for therapists and parents to communicate
Therapist's work is uncomfortable
and often exceeds working hours.
Insights & conclusions for the solution
INSIGHTS FROM USER RESEARCH
Parents wish to trust their child's therapist.
We'll show parents an introduction video of the therapist & testimonials of former clients.
Parents are worried and unsure why and how therapy will be done.
We'll emphasize what and why will happen in each frontal and digital and frontal interaction.
Parents need to fill an informative clinical questionnaire for diagnosis.
We'll create an easy, clear in-app, digital form.
Therapists need to chat and share media with parents.
We'll allow in-app messaging and API-based content sharing.
Practicing at home is crucial for the therapy's success.
We'll give users reminders for practice and provide positive feedback for doing it.
While parents use their phones, speech therapist use desktop app for their business administration.
We'll design two synced platforms: a B2B therapist's CRM and a B2C parent's mobile app.

SIMPLEFYING THE MEDICAL FORM
Initial question
Drill down question
Version A
Version B
Users answered the drill down question more quickly via version B, indicating better understanding of the form's behavior. Also, Version B allowed a potentially larger number of answers via one screen, and by that was found more fitting for the form.
